We are building the expense tool we wish existed.

After years of fighting with clunky expense software and watching bookkeepers spend their evenings re-typing receipts, we are building the AI we always wanted to use.

The problem we are solving

Expense management is broken. Business owners spend hours every month organising receipts and categorising expenses. Bookkeepers spend even more time cleaning up the mess. The existing tools require complex setup and still make routine mistakes that someone has to find and fix.

We tried every option:

  • Legacy expense tools. Required complex template setup, still made routine mistakes that someone had to fix manually.
  • Built-in accounting-software tools. Clunky UX, lots of manual categorisation, and no real learning between receipts.
  • “Just use a spreadsheet”. Manual, error-prone, time-consuming, and impossible to audit cleanly at quarter end.

We kept asking the same question. Why are we still typing receipt data by hand?

Then Claude Sonnet 4.6 changed what was possible. The model does not just read text. It understands context, handles the edge cases (multi-rate VAT receipts, reverse charge, supplier registrations, mixed currency), and learns from corrections the way a human bookkeeper would. That is the difference between a template-OCR tool from 2015 and software you can actually trust to do the work.

That is why we built ExpenseFlow. If you have ever been frustrated by expense management, request access and we will onboard your practice or business the week we launch.

What we stand for

Radical simplicity

If it takes more than five minutes to set up, we built it wrong. Expense management should be invisible to the people doing the work.

Honest pricing

No per-transaction fees. No per-seat surcharge. USD subscription, one rate card across every jurisdiction. What you see is what you pay.

Bookkeepers first

The platform is built for practices managing multiple clients. Solo business owners get the same engine, just configured differently.

The technology

Claude Sonnet 4.6 AI

We use Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4.6 for document understanding. The model does not just read text. It understands context, handles edge cases, and learns from corrections per client. That is why ExpenseFlow can sit on top of complex multi-jurisdiction portfolios (UK VAT, AU / NZ GST, Canadian GST / HST / PST, Singapore GST) where template OCR breaks down.

Native two-way accounting integration

Xero and QuickBooks Online are live today. Sage, MYOB, FreeAgent and Reckon are on the integrations roadmap and prioritised by practice demand. Every native integration is two-way and continuous, not a nightly batch.

Built across 5 jurisdictions

Receipts capture and tax codes apply in local currency (GBP / AUD / NZD / CAD / SGD). The SaaS subscription is billed in USD across every jurisdiction, so there is one consistent rate card with no FX surprises at renewal. Read the per-country deep dives for the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Singapore.

Security first

Bank-level 256-bit encryption at rest and in transit. SOC 2 Type II compliance is in progress. Captured receipt images are stored hashed and timestamped so the audit trail stays intact even if the source document is later removed from your accounting platform.
