Frequently asked questions

Do I really get unlimited users for $39?

Yes. Whether your team has 5 or 50 submitters, the Starter tier stays $39/month. The platform charges for processing volume (document tokens), not login seats. Add the whole team on day one with no per-user surcharge.

What if I am not in Australia or the UK?

Tax-rule coverage targets Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Singapore and Canada. The AI applies the correct local treatment per line (AU and NZ GST, UK VAT, Canadian GST / HST / PST, Singapore GST) and syncs in the local currency. The subscription is billed in USD across every country, so the rate card is the same wherever you are.

Do I need an accountant to use it?

No. The free tier and the Growth plan are designed for founders to manage themselves. If you do work with an accountant, the platform gives them one-click access to your live ledger so you do not have to export anything by hand. Most founders run themselves for a quarter, then hand the live view to their bookkeeper at tax time.

How does the AI handle my team's specific spending patterns?

Categorisations learn over time. When you correct something, the AI remembers and applies the same rule going forward, scoped to your business. After two or three weeks of use, the categorisation matches how your bookkeeper would code things without further intervention.

How accurate is the AI?

Our target is 95% average accuracy, measured as the mean of three components per document: OCR (did we read the receipt correctly), GL code (did we pick the right account), and tax code (did we apply the right GST or VAT treatment per line). Low-confidence captures are surfaced for human review with the original receipt alongside the extraction, so you never get silent mistakes posting to Xero or QuickBooks Online.

What happens if my team exceeds the document limit?

You are notified at 80% of the included pool. After 100%, a small per-document overage applies in cents, not dollars. You can also upgrade to a higher tier any time to lower the per-document rate. Document processing never stops, regardless of overage state.

Is there a free tier?

Yes. The Bootstrapper plan is free forever for up to 20 document tokens per month, including AI categorisation, mobile and email capture, one accountant seat, and CSV / Xero / QuickBooks Online export.
